The small village of EWHURST GREEN is situated in the High Weald of East Sussex in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Together with the villages of STAPLECROSS and CRIPPS CORNER, we make up the Parish of Ewhurst.
The ARTHUR HERDMAN PAVILION and the adjacent HERDMAN FIELD are situated in the village of EWHURST GREEN on the road between BODIAM (distance 1 mile approximately) and NORTHIAM (just under 2 miles); CRIPPS CORNER is about 2½ miles and STAPLECROSS about 1½ miles. It is essential to have your own transport as the nearest mainline station, ROBERTSBRIDGE, is approximately 4 miles away, with HASTINGS 9 miles to the South and the town of BATTLE 7 miles to the South West.
The village of Ewhurst Green has a traditional family-run pub - The White Dog Inn - in the heart of the village serving real ales and locally sourced food in its restaurant, and is one of a number of B&B facilities in the area. The local church, St James the Great, originates from the 12th century.
