Remembering your local WW1 hero: 24th and 25th October 2014
First of all, an enormous thank you to these local businesses that helped to make these two events so successful:
Matt Peirce from 'The Main Event Marquee Co' www.themainevent.co.uk for the marquee; Jan Webber from 'Chicks that Chop' www.chicksthatchop.co.uk for the delicious hot food, Jamie Griffiths www.jamiegriffiths.com for the atmospheric visual display and, of course, our local artist, Glenys Griffiths www.glenysgriffiths.com for her two 'soldiers' which were auctioned off at the end of the evening and the proceeds donated to The Herdman Association.

Here is a selection of Jamie's photographs taken at the Commemorative Supper on 24th October 2014 and the unveiling of a plaque to Lt Herdman on 25th October to mark the day he was killed in action 100 years ago.
There's lovely!
